Nurturing First Nations arts and design
Swinburne University developed the ‘Marngo Designing Futures’ program which is a fun, hands-on program for First Nations students to explore a creative future in visual communication, product design, filmmaking, architecture and digital media design – all disciplines taken from a First Nations perspective.
We created the branding for this program which features a Bogong moth image.
This unique Eastern Australian moth has a dynamic complete life cycle from egg to larva to pupa to adult which equates to learning and the development stages of the design journey. The First Nations styled markings were created to signify career pathways channeling through the moth’s wings and body. This is important to the nature of the Marngo Designing Futures program and a student’s potential career path.
