Connecting to place, nature and community
The City of Greater Dandenong have initiated an arts trail project where artworks created by Traditional Owners and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists are showcased along the 22km winding Dandenong Creek.
We created a brand identity that depicts a scenic view along Dandenong Creek through to the Ranges. Dandenong Creek winds its way through the landscape, where for thousands of years, this region was essential for the livelihoods of the local Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Peoples of the Kulin Nation.
The inscribed lines symbolise the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Clans with the larger concentric circles in the upper right and lower left sharing connecting pathways. Seven smaller rings which symbolise the artworks are interspersed along the creek trail.
