The fight for land rights

Land is of spiritual, social, cultural and economic importance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The NSW Aboriginal Land Council is the peak Aboriginal representative body in New South Wales and was first established in the late 1970’s to assist in the fight for land rights. The Council was formed when over 200 Aboriginal community representatives and individuals met for three days at the Black Theatre in Redfern to discuss land rights and has now grown to be the largest member based Aboriginal organisation in NSW.

This brand imagery was an evolution of the original ‘tree’ brandmark and created in a fresh, modern feel with the tagline ‘Our Land Council, Our Mob Our Future.’
